Jesse {Middle Tennessee Senior Photographer}

Jesse is our nephew and I cannot believe he is a senior this year! He was born right after we got married which makes me feel really old. He has a really unique personality just like his other brothers and sister. His family recently moved in to a new house and there's a lot of land behind it perfect for taking cool senior pictures. His girlfriend Chelsea was there and we got her in on some of the shots too. They are just the perfect little couple and photograph so wonderfully.

Sassy Shopper Success! | Murfreesboro, TN

This past weekend I was involved in a fantastic event put on by Hype Events in Murfreesboro. Leon has been fantastic with constructing my booth for shows like this. Here are a few shots from a super successful weekend!

Jimi - Middle Tennessee Senior Photographer

I knew this was going to be a special shoot when Jimi's mom called me. She said her son was special and unique and played guitar. I searched for the perfect place to shoot and I think we found it. I am always scouting out new locations to make every session completely unique and personal for each senior. If you can't think of a place you think is right, just let me know... I'll find a spot!

Another beautiful senior... Middle Tennessee Senior Photographer

I had so many senior sessions in November and December that I can't even remember how many there were. This lovely senior is just absolutely beautiful. Nobody looked like this when I was in school! Maybe they did. Maybe it just seemed normal but I'm thinking not. This shoot was the first one where I left Ian at home with his dad to go out and work. It's such a fabulous feeling to tell people "yes" when they say, "so, do you have kids?" I think they probably got sick of me talking about him, but I just keep on talking!This day was actually so warm that she had on short sleeves and wasn't chilly at all! Oh, where are those days now!

Going back in time... Middle Tennessee Senior Photographer

Today's been a great day so far! Ian has preschool on Tues/Thurs and that's when I conduct my "office hours". I drop him off then come straight home and get busy. Actually, every other Tues/Thurs I have been preoccupied with other things so this is the first for real day I have been able to get anything done.

I have a busy weekend ahead and it looks like every Saturday is booked through the end of March. Yipes. That's o.k. though. Busy season is on the way.

Back in October, I took a Gray Photography workshop. If you've never heard of Zack and Jody Gray, they are one of the top photographers in Nashville. The special thing about Zack and Jody is that they actually SHARE their knowledge with people like me. Photogs come from all over to their workshops and they take the workshop tour all over the world. They are blessed and they know it.

I only signed up for a one day workshop with them but I learned so much I can't even believe it. I learned a lot about off-camera lighting which can be real complicated for right-brained people like me. Here are some of the shots I took that day. There has been NO photoshop editing done on these images!
